That's easy - my kid would "prefer" the TERC problem because of how easy it is and how little is required out of her to play. Plus they get to talk to a friend during class -- always a bonus. And -- the game will take a while to play so there won't be much class time left for doing other math stuff.

So clearly, TERC wins because it is engaging. And pulling cards out of deck is a very important 21st century skill, right?
