They're missing out on nostalgia for 2nd grade.
My daughter just had the square-rhombus-rectangle stuff at the beginning of third grade math.
(Can't help noticing, by the way, that whoever did that Singapore page got 1a wrong. The triangle has an area of 9 unit squares.)
